Travel Writing

One of the activities Levonne explored in her “retirement” is travel writing.

Travel writing allows Levonne to combine her love of travelling and her ability to write in easy to understand language with her life’s purpose to guide, educate and mentor with grace, integrity … and style. While exploring new adventures, Levonne can guide and educate others about interesting places and experiences. Perhaps they will be inspired to visit some of these places or try some new experiences.

Levonne jumped into the travel writing arena by signing up for a Travel Writing course offered by Great Escape Publishing in September, 2019. She also participated in a photography course and a social media course offered before and after the main program. The participants were “sent out on assignment” to find a story to photograph and write about. Levonne chose to photograph and write about a unique park in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. This resulted in Levonne getting her first byline in Travel Post Monthly. While not actively pursuing travel writing at this time, a couple of bylines did emerge.
